Back in Singapore!



I'm finally back in Singapore!!!

Omg, I can't believe I'm back! :D I can't feel myself back in Singapore, except the fact that Singapore is sooooooooo WARM! I'm sweating in the airport when I used to think airport is cold enough for me. Haha!

I wanted to blog for the last time before I depart to Singapore but I din have the time to update at all. I went traveling, rushing around like running for Marathons! I shall not elaborate my marathon routes because it's a loooong story.

Okay, before I carry on with my updates on my life in Germany, did I mention that my timetable is awesome?! 2 full days followed by 2 half days of lessons and additionally long weekends because we have FRIDAY OFF! Oh god! I'm loving this! But, why are our modules sounding so weird? Workplace and Industrial Relations? Workplace Health Promotion Management? =| Whatever it is, I hope it's easy to score!

Zurich was a nice place though having high living expenses! I love their clean environment as compared to Germany. Most of the people there knows how to speak English so it's easy to communicate. And, I love some of the streets there, took some photos and I especially like the bridges. I din really buy anything since it was so expensive everywhere. We've got a good hotel though. :)


International Business and Marketing was CRAP! Totally crap! The going-to-bald professor is simply telling us his experience with other cultures because he had gone all over Europe and proudly came to Asian countries and stayed in China for a while. And, he always targets Singapore when all the time we were not listening to him! Not about the content that is boring, the way he talks arrogantly pisses people off and I couldn't listen to him for long! I doubt I can pass both the modules. Everyone said International Business questions was too difficult to understand, even the native speakers, Americans and English. I think there was something wrong with the phrasing. Anyway, I crap my way through. *Pray, just for a pass*

After the exams, Zhi Yin and I rushed our way to Heidelberg to buy my mum's long wanted Cuckoo Clock. I spent 229 euro to buy it but was able to claim 25 euro. Then, we did some shopping in H&M. Bought things for my lovely friends. :D Hope they like it! Hees.

That night, we had a dinner with our class, sponsored by BA. We were only able to stay for a short while due to the limited time as we had to rush to catch our train to Frankfurt Hahn Airport which goes to London.

Lauren, our English friend, brought us around and let us stay at her place for free. Of course, we did buy something for her Nan (grandma). Her whole family is so nice to us. The next day, we wanted to meet the rest of our group of internationals for Duck Tour but we missed it. Luckily, the Duck Tour guy was nice and fitted us inside the next slot because there were 6 who withdrew out. We went on the Duck Tour with only the 4 of us, Lauren, Nastja (Slovenian), Zhi Yin and me. Had their famous British Fish & Chips after a long walk to the Tower Bridge. Nothing really special but it was delicious. :) London trip ended with Lauren driving us early to the airport. We bid goodbye and hopefully she will keep her promise and come to Singapore! Can't wait to fetch her!


Then, our Italy trip started. Flied to Venice, took a bus to the city and we had a hard time finding our hotel. It took us an hour and carrying our luggage up and down the numerous bridges. Venice is really beautiful! The scenery is very nice, though you see the old buildings but they are so pretty! I love Venice! Their gelato is unbelievable delicious! I had like 4 in a day! I bought many Morano Glass necklace. They were so gorgeous and cheap! I think I'll be giving out presents the next few days like Santa Claus. Haha. I've given most of them to my family and Dear's family.

We stayed a night in Venice and took a train to Milan. Milan was stunning with everyone wearing branded goods, even their dogs are with Burberry strap around their neck. The rich lady in front of me, queuing to pay the Zara's products, bought more than 300 euro worth of goods! Oh my god, at that instance I wish god could drop some money down. I think if you have no money, I rather you fly to somewhere else. Kinda regret going to Milan.

One thing I can conclude about Italians is that they are DAMN RACIST! They detest Chinese and the fact that Chinese stole away their jobs are not their fault. Duh! We went into this restaurant where this stupid racist waitress 'served' us. She did not even tell us where we should actually sit and roughly pointed a squeezy corner seats for us. No menus and expected us to go over. When ordering the food, no feeling of friendliness, not even a smile. Another couple came in sat beside us, speaking English (so we assume they are not Italians), the same waitress guided them to the table and gave them cutlery with menus. She got this smile all the way while they approached her. What shit is this?! FUCKING Racist Italians! It din leave me a good impression. Venice, we met a few nice people so I would probably go back again, perhaps with my partner for Honeymoon. ;) I've heard from my brother that it was reported that Venice may sink down in the future. Hopefully, not before I go for the second time.

Guess what's the weight of my check-in luggage back to Singapore? It's 38.5kg! That's not all, I was holding the other 2 big hand carry weighing at least 5kg each and carrying my bagpack with laptop. It was fucking heavy! I din know it could add up to such heavy luggages. My stuffs fitted the bags perfectly, just that it was too heavy to carry. I had 10kg of my stuffs sent by DHL already. And speaking of that, mine was not delivered successfully! RAH! I'm so fed up because it may return back to Mosbach and I need to pay extra to send it back! I dunno what is the problem with the unsuccessful attempt! I'm going to call the customer service tmr! :((

Yeah! I've finally seen Dearie and my family! I hugged Dear, my mum and brother. They were waiting patiently outside for me. We had dinner together with Dear's family, like the last dinner I had with them before I went to Germany. I still couldn't believe I'm in Singapore! I need some time to adjust. I slept quite early ytd, perhaps because of the long flight home. A perfect example of my jet lag is that I'm still awake at this point of time, not feeling any tiredness at all! 3am, I'm still wide awake!

2 weeks left! :D

I wanted to blog last week, but I din have the time to blog though I have no lessons last week. Reason being we are packed with Adventure Park, Audi Factory excursion, Pow Wow and Berlin trip! I had a fruitful week bonding with my international friends. It's only when we are leaving, things started to get good and I'm starting to miss them just a few weeks before I leave for Singapore. Well, I'm still excited to go back home!

28th March - Zhiyin and I went together with my landlady, her boyfriend and her daughter to Rothenburg which is along the Romantic Road. We went to Rothenburg city to buy some souvenirs and my landlady introduced the Cuckoo Clocks in Rothenburg to me as I've mentioned to her before that I wanted to get 1 home. I did not buy though. It was too expensive and I needed my mum's opinions. Probably getting it from Heidelberg, nearer to Mosbach after my mum chooses it. After which, we headed to my landlady's boyfriend's friend house for high tea. They were an old couple living together in a typical german house. We were warmly welcomed with delicious pastries and coffee prepared nicely on the table. From their facial expressions, I could feel their happiness. They owned a VolksWagen & Audi Car showhouse. We made a tour around before we went back to their house again for the Second High Tea! It's like an hour after our first one, they claimed it wasn't dinner. Zhi Yin and I nearly fainted, we were so full after pieces of cakes. Thus, we just had the Ham and bread as our dinner. We left after awhile with the lady of the house coming out to bade goodbye. At first, she waited patiently before my landlady's boyfriend drove off. She then stood at the same spot waving till the car has gone far. At that moment, I felt like dropping off the car and go back to the house.

You guys must be wondering why my landlady has a boyfriend when she is like near to her sixties. Her husband died 5 years ago. I realised a person still living at this age has nothing much to do and it's only love that would made one carry on living. So, don't ever use another view to look at these old folks dating. (unless the old person is only looking for lust) Now, I have a deeper understanding to this word, love.

29th March - The day where I guessed all 4-season countries had to adjust their time an hour forward. The first time ever I'm experiencing an hour disappearing in my life. Haha! Mosbach on this particular day has Spring Market and surprisingly, like suddenly all the people staying in Mosbach went to the city. Dinner for Bengsch family was quite a success since all the food is cleared and gotten good comments. Though there's only Bouis (Charlotte's bro) and Laura (Charlotte's sis), I tried to cook what I know. With the help of Zhi Yin and Wesley (Zhiyin's friend), we managed to cook Wanton soup, Honey chicken wings, Cereal prawns (with the help of my bro's instant packet) and our own created fried (spaghetti) noodles. All tasted nice, I can finally proved my ability to cook!

30th March - Sylvia's Birthday! I internet sms her but I dunno if she has received it. I realised I missed out 3 important birthdays during my OSEP trip, Jovena's, Dear's and Sylvia's. I din realise the first few months of the year has so many events!

The whole class went for adventure park and we were splitted into 2 teams. We have 3 stages from lowest to the highest elements. The last 2 were jumping and holding onto the rod and giant swing. These were optional. With encouragements, I played the Giant Swing but I was so frightened. I cried while I was being pulled up to the sky. I don't know why I was so afriad, I din have the courage to do anything. Probably it was after a great fall (not actually a fall) during the second elements. The see-saw-looking thing hanging in the air and I fly up to the sky because the other person at the other end was too heavy. I literally banged onto the woods and got myself injured on both of my thigh. You can see the bump even if I'm wearing the jeans. The worst ever bruise I've ever gotten. 31st March - There was an excursion to Audi Car Factory and we get to see the manufacturing and test non-moving cars. It was cool! As you guys know, Germany is profession in Mechanism. Almost every Germans wish will be working in Mechanism industry which I'm totally not into it. I only know how to admire the outer design of the car.

1st April - Pow Wow! It means intercultural exchange. We did a presentation on Singapore which we covered the history, singlish and food. I taught Singlish to them and till now, they still use them. Haha! While preparing the slides, I realised I don't know how to teach Singlish because it comes out naturally, like "lah", "lor", "leh". When they asked for the definitions, I totally forgot about it! And, I'm starting to forget how to use them. I found a few videos about Singlish and it's so funny! But, the internationals couldn't understand. To them, it's totally another new language. While doing the ppt, I realised how much I love Singapore as my homeland.

2nd April - Pierick (French) drove Zhiyin, Lauren (English), Yan (Russian) and I to Colmar, France. We just walked around the small city and took pictures. Had a chat on a table while we went to visit Pierrick's sister's restaurant. Surprisingly, I bought nothing. I merely enjoyed the visit with internationals. I like France, everywhere seems so pretty and I love their designs of the infrastructures. I even love their French words, it looks so classy and sounds nice. I'm determined to learn French after Japanese. Comment vas tu? Enseigne moi le Français!

3rd to 5th April - Berlin Trip with the class! Shall not elaborate much, let the pictures do the job but overall it was FUN! And, we went into a Singapore Restaurant in Berlin! :D We had a long 7 hours journey though.

7th April - We cooked Chinese Dinner for our class of 30 people. A few of them did not come but it was still great. We prepared a lot of food and all of them said it was nice! We could even open a Chinese Restaurant in Mosbach. We probably will close down in Singapore. Haha! I never thought our cooking skills are quite good. I din really eat as I was so full after cooking and I think it's a good way to slim down! Lol! I felt as full after cooking when before, we were still thinking how to save the food for ourselves.

9th April - Pierrick drove Zhiyin, Annemari and I to a place in Mosbach where there is beautiful sceneries to take photos since the weather is so good. I took LOTS of pictures and because of the sunny weather, the pictures seem so pretty with my lousy camera. Camwhore time!

It's said to be Good Friday. It doesn't seem so. Nothing really cheers me up. I'm in bed the whole morning, talked to mum & kor and cleaned my dusty room. On a lighter note, I'm off to Swiss for Easter holidays tomorrow! Back with more photos!
